Flamenco was born in the heart of Andalusia — in the tablaos and the plazas, in the grief and the joy of a people who learned to pour their entire souls into rhythm, movement, and song. Tonight, that fire and passion comes to Belmont Cragin.

The Levitt VIBE Chicago Free Concert Series steps outside the Latin American musical world for one extraordinary evening, crossing the Atlantic to bring the art of flamenco to Riis Park — free, outdoors, and open to every single person who wants to witness it.

💃 Casa Triana Flamenco

Chicago’s home for authentic flamenco is bringing the full experience to the park. Casa Triana Flamenco is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in a single powerful mission: to make flamenco — one of the world’s most emotionally charged and technically demanding art forms — accessible, alive, and thriving in Chicago. Through dance classes, percussion instruction, school programs, and their acclaimed tablao performances at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, Casa Triana has built a vibrant cultural home for flamenco on the North Side. And now they bring it to the neighborhood.

Expect the full force of it: the thunderous zapateado footwork that shakes the stage, the deep resonance of flamenco guitar, the raw emotional power of cante — flamenco singing that reaches places words alone cannot go. From the ancient soleá to the joyful fire of the bulería, flamenco speaks a language that transcends borders. You don’t need to know anything about flamenco to feel it in your chest the moment it begins.

This is flamenco as a living art form — passionate, rhythmically complex, visually breathtaking, and completely free.

Easiest route: Take the CTA Red, Brown, or Purple Line to the Fullerton Station, then board the #74 Fullerton Bus heading west. Ride it to N. Narragansett Ave. (6400 W.) — you’ll be steps from the park entrance on Fullerton. The bus runs frequently on Saturday evenings.
