Maestro Hildo Ariel Aguirre Daza, along with his son Sergio Nicolás and daughter Tatiana “Tata”, la Maraquera, bring the magical sounds of the plains of Colombia – el joropo llanero, to Chicago.
It is too difficult to describe the emotions one feels listening to the sounds of the harp. The instrument in the hands of father and son, along with the sounds of the maracas, played by Tata, give a true magical portrayal of a part of the Colombian soul, el alma llanera (the soul of the people of the Colombian savannah or Llanos Orientales).
