The 41st Chicago Latino Film Festival in cooperation with the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago are pleased to present the centerpiece special event and screening of “Terra Negra”(Black Earth) by director Alberto Morais.
The event marks the center-point of the 41st Chicago Latino Film Festival celebrated at the Landmark Century Centre Cinemas between April 4th and the 13th. Two other special events, Opening Night (April 3rd) and Closing Night (April 14th) will bookend the Festival.

About ‘Terra Negra‘ at Instituto Cervantes
For the special ticket price of $30 GA or $25 member rate, attendees will be invited to a special screening of the film by director Alberto Morais, starring Laia Marull, Sergi López, Andrés Gertrúdix, Abdelatif Hwidar, Bruno Tamarit. A special food and wine reception will be held from 6pm to 7pm prior to the screening of Terra Negra, the Chicago Latino Film Festival’s first ever Valencian Language Film. A post screening Q&A will be held with the filmmakers team.
This is a single night special engagement – Terra Negra will have a second showing at the festival on April 10th at 5:30pm.
The Instituto Cervantes is a cultural organization sponsored by the Spanish Government and their Ministry of Cultural Affairs, located at 31 W. Ohio Street • Special discounted parking is available at the W. Ontario Garage – entrance is directly across from the Instituto. Please secure a validation for this special rate before departing the premises.
