The Reel Film Club Presents: Mistura
Tuesday, July 28
Facets Multimedia | 1517 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago
ABOUT THE FILM
Norma’s (Bárbara Mori) privileged life in 1960s Lima falls apart after news of her husband’s (Christian Meier) affair with a younger woman spreads like wildfire among the city’s elite. Encouraged by her chauffeur to pursue her dreams of opening a restaurant, Norma sets out on a transformative journey that challenges society’s norms and reveals Peru’s authentic identity through a daring culinary venture. “Mistura” is a cinematic feast with a lot on its mind.
Join us for a special Reel Film Club screening of Mistura. The evening kicks off with a one-hour reception featuring food and a cash bar, followed by the film screening. Stick around afterward for a Q&A with film critic Alejandro Riera.
