The International Latino Cultural Center is thrilled to announce the return of the Chicago Latino Film Festival, now celebrating its 40th year as the longest-running Latino film festival in the United States!

What began as a modest event in the 1980s has blossomed into one of the nation’s premier platforms for showcasing Iberoamericam cinema. From April 11th to the 22nd, the festival will feature a diverse array of films from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the United States. Over the course of 11 days, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy both feature-length and short films representing over 30 countries, spanning a wide range of genres including drama, comedy, thriller, science fiction, and documentary.

The Chicago Latino Film Festival offers a unique glimpse into the cutting-edge of Latin American filmmaking. Many of the films showcased at CLFF have gone on to receive acclaim at other prestigious film festivals and award ceremonies. In fact, La pecera by Glorimar Marrero Sánchez, a film screened at the 30th CLFF in 2023, was later selected as a finalist at the Premios Goya, Spain’s equivalent of the Oscars®. It became the first Puerto Rican film to ever be selected to participate in the Best Iberoamerican film competition at the Goyas.

Join us for this remarkable cinematic experience and discover the richness and diversity of Latino cinema at the Chicago Latino Film Festival!
