The countdown to the 40th anniversary of the Chicago Latino Film Festival begins with a celebration of 40 years of Argentinean films under democracy.

Winner of the Goya for Best Iberoamerican Film in 2017 and Best Actor for Oscar Martínez at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, The Distinguished Center focuses on Daniel Mantovani, a Literature Nobel Prize winner, who accepts an invitation to visit his hometown in Argentina, which has been the inspiration for all of his books. Accepting the invitation turns out to be the worst idea of his life when he finds out what the townspeople really think about him after using them, as characters in his novels.

Free but reservations are required. Limited Capacity.
