Synopsis

¡Basta Mamá! is a 2026 Colombian comedy directed by Flora Martínez, adapted from the hit Colombian stage play of the same name. Fernando, a 45-year-old man, still lives with his overprotective, old-fashioned mother, Victoria — a secret he’s desperate to hide from his modern, independent girlfriend, Leticia, who also happens to be his boss. When Fernando invites Leticia to dinner for the first time, he convinces his mother to pretend she doesn’t live with him. As the night unfolds, old secrets and clashing values between the two women in his life force Fernando into a hilarious, high-stakes choice between cutting the ties to his mother’s apron strings or losing the love of his life.
