This traditional Mexican banda delivers authentic Sinaloan brass band music with remarkable precision and emotion. From festive rancheras to heartbreaking ballads, Banda El Recuerdo performs with the powerful, distinctive brass sound that characterizes the genre. Founded over a decade ago in Chicago, the ensemble preserves Mexican musical traditions while engaging new generations of listeners.
Levitt VIBE Chicago Music Series
About the Series
The Levitt VIBE Chicago Music Series is a free outdoor concert series that brings high-quality live music to public spaces in Chicago neighborhoods. The series features 10 free concerts from June 14th through August 16th, 2025 (Every Saturday this summer), taking place at various Chicago parks including Gage Park and La Villita Park.
Levitt VIBE is a matching grant pilot program that brings the joy of free concerts to public spaces in major city neighborhoods where access to arts experiences may be limited. The Chicago series is presented by the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago, showcasing diverse musical performances that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of the city’s communities.
