The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago, The Center of Peruvian Arts and The Instituto Cervantes of Chicago are proud to present a Special Event to celebrate the 202nd Independence Day Anniversary of Peru.
The event, to be held at The Instituto Cervantes on 31 W. Ohio Street in Chicago will showcase dance performances by The Center of Peruvian Arts and music by Sol Andino.
Come celebrate the Fiestas Patrias of Perú on July 29th, 2023. Doors open at 6:30pm – Performances at 7pm – 9pm
About Sol Andino
The leading interpreters of Andean folk music, SolAndino was founded in 2015 by a quartet of musicians from Peru, Argentina and the United State: Pedro Verástegui, Jr., Pedro Verástegui, Sr., Alberto Otarola and Huguito Gutiérrez. They have performed at Millennium Park in Chicago and the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC, among other important venues.

The Center of Peruvian Arts connects audiences and students to the Indigenous cultures of Peru through performances, educational programming, and participatory workshops. Through these practices, the organization is committed to promoting Indigenous Peruvian knowledge and wisdom and cultivating skills in collaboration, coexistence, and social awareness. Serving the Chicagoland area, the Center of Peruvian Arts strengthens the community’s identity to its Indigenous Peruvian counterparts.
