An Evening of Sephardic Soul and Global Rhythms

Join us for an unforgettable night as acclaimed Israeli singer-songwriter Nani Vazana brings her mesmerizing blend of ancient Sephardic melodies and contemporary global sounds to Chicago.

About Nani Vazana:

Nani Vazana is a musical bridge between worlds—a keeper of Sephardic Jewish traditions who breathes new life into centuries-old Ladino songs while creating captivating original compositions. Born in Israel to a family with roots in the vibrant Sephardic communities of the Mediterranean, Nani has dedicated her artistry to preserving and reimagining the rich musical heritage of Spanish-speaking Jews.

What makes Nani truly special is her ability to make ancient poetry feel urgent and alive. Her powerful, honeyed voice carries the weight of history while her innovative arrangements—blending Middle Eastern percussion, flamenco guitar, and contemporary folk—create a sound that transcends time and geography. Whether performing traditional Ladino ballads passed down through generations or her own introspective compositions, Nani creates an intimate, spiritual experience that resonates with audiences regardless of their background.

This is a rare opportunity to experience one of world music’s most distinctive voices in an intimate setting. Come discover why audiences worldwide have been captivated by Nani’s artistry—an evening of beauty, soul, and cross-cultural connection awaits.
