Three couples have agreed to meet their therapist for a group session: Laura and Daniel, who’ve known each other since high school and whose marriage is on the rocks; Carla, an architect who takes few risks in life, and the somewhat sarcastic and insecure Esteban, a personal shopper; and Marta, a teacher at a children’s school with a serious alcohol problem, and Roberto, a salesman who likes to boss his wife around.

They arrive to find that their therapist is nowhere to be found. Instead, she has left behind a series of numbered envelopes with instructions that will, supposedly, help them get to the bottom of what’s making their lives so miserable.

Gerardo Herrero’s adaptation of Argentinian playwright Matías de Benito’s work is a darkly funny and, in the end, provocative exploration of dysfunctional relationships.
