The Chicago Latino Film Festival is celebrating 40 years in 2024! We are very excited to reach this milestone, captained by our Executive Director Pepe Vargas, who had the vision of preserving, celebrating and uplifting Latino Film then and now.

Opening Night is one of those nights not to be missed! This year, the celebration will kick off at the historic Davis Theatre, a fitting backdrop for our Opening Featured Film: Wingwalker (Alonso Álvarez). The film will open 11 days of Festival that will celebrate the very latest in Latino filmworks. More than 50 feature films and 35 shorts will grace the screens of Chicago’s Century Link Cinema ( Clark Street) for the duration of the festival. The Opening Night Gala and the Closing Night Gala will be held at the Davis Theatre and Dank Haus.
